About The Position

The Project Manager will play a critical role in advancing the development and implementation of the Advisor Insights Tool and related platform initiatives at Education is Freedom (EIF). This role sits at the intersection of product development, impact strategy, and cross-functional execution, reporting to the Chief Impact Officer (CIO).

This individual will ensure that complex, multi-phase product development workflows move from concept to execution with clarity, speed, and accountability. The Project Manager will serve as the operational backbone of the project—translating vision into structured plans, maintaining alignment across stakeholders, and driving consistent progress toward key milestones.

This role is essential to ensuring that EIF’s Advisor Insights Tool and broader Pathways Intelligence Platform are delivered with excellence, speed, and strategic alignment. The Project Manager will directly contribute to building a state-of-the-art advising infrastructure that improves student outcomes, strengthens advisor effectiveness, and supports long-term regional impact.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Workflow Management

  • Own and manage all project workflows within Asana, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, assigned, and tracked to completion
  • Maintain and continuously optimize project boards to reflect current priorities, dependencies, and timelines
  • Ensure alignment between product development phases (design, prototype, build, test, launch) and execution plans
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and misalignments early and proactively escalate solutions

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with the CIO and Fractional CPO to align project execution with strategic priorities and product vision
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across internal teams, external developers, and partner organizations
  • Translate high-level strategy into actionable next steps for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Communication & Reporting

  • Manage Slack communications to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and alignment across all project stakeholders
  • Prepare and distribute weekly project development updates, including:
  • Progress against milestones
  • Key accomplishments
  • Risks and mitigation strategies
  • Upcoming priorities
  • Ensure all stakeholders have visibility into project status and decision points

Meeting & Timeline Management

  • Schedule and facilitate recurring project development meetings, including sprint reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder check-ins
  • Develop clear agendas, capture action items, and ensure follow-through on all decisions
  • Maintain a master project timeline with key milestones and deliverables

Quality & Accountability

  • Ensure all workflows adhere to defined processes, including scope definition, handoffs, and change management protocols
  • Support documentation of product requirements, development phases, and implementation plans
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, clarity, and high-quality execution

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of project management experience, preferably in product development, technology, or consulting environments
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (Asana required; Slack, Google Workspace required)
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics and data validation, with the ability to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple systems, reports, and student information platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and translate information for different audiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments (e.g., Agile, product development cycles)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting product development or SaaS/platform-based initiatives
  • Familiarity with human-centered design processes (IDEO or similar frameworks)
  • Experience working in education, workforce development, or mission-driven organizations
  • Strong understanding of data integration processes, including mapping, reconciling, and managing multiple data fields across various platforms and sources to support reporting, system alignment, and informed decision-making.
  • Confidence working with executive leadership and external partners
