You are invited to witness something extraordinary. Each spring, Education is Freedom gathers high-achieving scholars — students who have worked tirelessly against the odds — and places them in the spotlight they deserve. This is their night. And you can help make it bright.

At this year’s event, more than 100 exceptional EIF Scholars from more than 40 high schools in Cedar Hill, Dallas, DeSoto, Garland, Grand Prairie, Lancaster, and Mesquite ISDs will be awarded scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000. One Scholar will be awarded EIF’s first-ever multiyear Hanan Ali Lacy “Carry the Torch” Scholarship.

EIF Scholars are students selected from each of the high schools we serve for their demonstration of leadership, character, and drive. These exceptional students participate throughout the school year in skill-building activities to prepare them for success in college, careers, and beyond.

With support from people like you, EIF Scholars will be able to begin their college journeys with reduced risk of becoming sidetracked by financial worry and debt. We have learned that even a $500 scholarship can make the difference between a student persisting through their first year of college and dropping out.

Your scholarship investment will help provide EIF Scholars with flexible funding to pay for expenses not otherwise covered by financial aid — such as transportation to college, books, supplies, and personal costs (toiletries, clothing, laundry, etc.).
