About The Position

The Training Specialist plays a critical role in delivering high-impact onboarding, training, and development experiences for EIF staff. Reporting to the Director of Training, this role is responsible for executing internal training sessions, supporting learning logistics, and ensuring consistency in professional development across the organization. The Training Specialist helps implement a responsive and differentiated learning environment that equips EIF team members with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their roles and deliver results for students.


Key Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Support

- Deliver and facilitate onboarding sessions, in-service trainings, and professional development workshops for new and returning EIF staff.

- Support the implementation of training content designed by the Director of Training, adapting materials for different audiences and formats.

- Assist with the delivery of virtual and in-person training sessions, including managing logistics, communications, and materials.

- Attend all training sessions

Learning Coordination

- Maintain the internal training calendar and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.

- Track attendance, engagement, and feedback from participants to support evaluation and continuous improvement.

- Monitor All-Staff chat to ensure training related solutions are provided in a timely manner

- Ensure that training resources, tools, and templates are accessible and up to date.

- Support training account set up and troubleshooting

- Research training opportunities for college, career, and military post-secondary pathways


Onboarding & Staff Support

- Support / lead new hire training

- Serve as a point of contact for new hires during onboarding and early-stage training.

- Coordinate and support differentiated onboarding plans by role and team.

- Provide just-in-time training refreshers and follow-up resources to staff as needed.


Team Collaboration & Culture

- Work closely with the Director of Training to align daily execution with strategic goals.

- Collaborate with program managers and directors to identify ongoing training needs and respond accordingly.

- Support the cultivation of a joyful, mission-driven training culture that inspires staff engagement and growth.

On-Campus Advising

- During periods of reduced training activity, the Training Specialist may be assigned to provide temporary advising support on campuses, including coverage for advisor absences, surge support, or other short-term needs

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in training, facilitation, onboarding, or program coordination.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; able to engage adult learners across different roles.
  • Experience supporting or delivering virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with instructional tools, virtual platforms, and adult learning practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Willing to work in person at EIF headquarters
